For over 25 years, I've been immersed in the world of show jumping.
As a third-generation horseman based in Ballycastle, Northern Ireland, horses have always been more than a profession — they've been a way of life. From producing young horses and competing internationally to buying and selling horses across the market, I've spent my career developing a practical understanding of what it takes to build a successful show jumping programme.
Throughout that journey, I've come to realise that success is rarely determined by talent alone. The riders who consistently progress are those who make better strategic decisions. They buy the right horses at the right time. They compete with purpose. They build the right team around them. They manage their finances wisely and think years ahead rather than weeks ahead.

Those decisions shape careers. That belief is what led me to establish EquiTell.
EquiTell was created to offer something different from traditional coaching or horse sourcing. It provides independent strategic consultancy for ambitious show jumping riders — helping them step back from the day-to-day demands of the sport to assess their programme as a whole and develop a clear, realistic plan for long-term success.
My role isn't to replace your trainer or make decisions for you. It's to ask the difficult questions, challenge assumptions, identify opportunities and help you make informed decisions with confidence. Because every successful performance programme begins with a strategy.
Away from the business, show jumping remains at the centre of family life. My wife, Grace, is a highly competitive show jumper, and our daughters, Aoife and Eve, are both actively competing. Together, we understand the commitment, sacrifices and ambitions that come with pursuing success in the sport at every level. That perspective keeps EquiTell grounded in the realities riders and families face — not just in the arena, but in the decisions that happen long before the first fence is jumped.
